About the Role

As a Global Senior Field Education Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for our field support personnel and customers. You'll leverage your expertise in electrophysiology and training to create engaging and impactful educational experiences that enhance knowledge and skills in cardiac ablation therapies. This role requires a strong background in instructional design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, delivers, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers, ensuring alignment with company and customer objectives.
• Obtains information needed to prepare training programs, prepares training materials, develops course content, determines methodology, and coordinates the development of training aids.
• Ensures training programs meet company and customer objectives, and maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training.
• Collaborates with cross-functional groups, including PACE T&E, Product Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Services, Legal, Quality, and Regulatory, to create education programs, curricula, course materials, and measurements that support business unit strategies.
• Designs and executes creative and engaging Field Sales and Clinical Specialists Education programs that increase electrophysiology knowledge and skills in procedures and cardiac ablation therapies.
• Demonstrates education effectiveness through systematic program evaluation and continuous improvement strategy.
• Works collaboratively with the Physician Education team to develop and deliver new processes, quality standards, and increase efficiency of the team.
• Travels up to 50% to support training and education initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant Electrophysiology and Training experience, with a bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of 3D Mapping and Navigation experience in electrophysiology procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of instructional design methods and adult learning principles.
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with external customers.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Smart Sheets, Articulate & Rise, Adobe, Camtasia, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out as a candidate, you should have:

• Advanced Electrophysiology certification (RCIS or IBHRE certification preferred).
• Experience with Training & Education of Medical device program curriculum build and delivery processes.
• Assessment of core competencies of field employees and physician customers to identify gaps in current program and build out and deliver curriculum that fills gaps identified.
• Strong collaboration and inclusion skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. The salary range for this role is $88,000 - $132,000 per year, depending on experience and location. You'll also be eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
