Key Responsibilities

As a Happiness Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our global team, working with a high degree of independence and accountability. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting a diverse range of customers through various channels such as email, live chat, voice, and video calls, which may involve technical troubleshooting, educational walkthroughs, or consultative sales calls.
  • Going beyond immediate issue resolution to ensure our customers succeed with our products, understanding their goals, and identifying opportunities to enhance their experience.
  • Proactively reaching out to potential and existing customers to learn about their objectives, their experience with our products, and how we can support their continued success.
  • Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and testing to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Embracing change and continuously learning new skills to stay up-to-date with the evolving needs of our customers and the industry.
  • Proactively recommending ideas that will help customers achieve greater success with our products and services.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Deep experience in technical support, engineering, and/or customer success. Proficiency in WordPress is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport quickly with a wide range of stakeholders, including end-users, developers, and agency clients. Fluency in English is a must.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and judgment, with the ability to not only resolve immediate issues but also contribute to the sustained growth of our customers.
  • A strong sense of accountability and follow-through, maintaining professionalism and respect in challenging situations, and being open to critical feedback.
  • Adaptability, curiosity, and a passion for learning and embracing change.
  • A deep care for the customer experience, taking personal responsibility for every aspect of it.
  • The ability to collaborate cross-functionally, raising issues internally and driving follow-up to ensure resolutions.

Bonus skills that will make your application stand out include experience with eCommerce or setting up a business.

Ideal Candidate Profile

While the above skills are essential, an ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience as a deep technical troubleshooter or a customer success representative/technical account manager for agency-level clients.
  • Hands-on experience creating and supporting WordPress websites, and customizing WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, CSS, JS, and HTML.
  • Background in sales or technical account management, and/or leadership experience in a technical or customer success field.
