Job Summary
As an Administrative Assistant II to the Director of Teaching and Learning, you'll provide a full range of administrative support services to ensure the smooth operation of our department. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Teaching and Learning, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain a variety of files, records, and logs, including financial and statistical data.
- Operate a range of modern office equipment, including a personal computer and related software.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners through verbal and written communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Work independently with minimal direction, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of prior clerical experience, with 3 years of experience in a school district preferred.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent record-keeping techniques and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in operating a range of modern office equipment, including a personal computer and related software.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in an educational setting or supporting a senior leader.
- Familiarity with State Education Code and other applicable laws.
- Knowledge of district organization, operations, policies, and objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
