Assistant Teacher Role
As an Assistant Teacher at Childcare Network, you'll play a vital role in the success of our center. You'll be a positive role model, create meaningful relationships with our students and families, and be a supportive resource for your team. Your passion for childhood education will shine through as you work alongside our Lead Teacher to provide a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Communicate daily with families regarding student progress or needs to encourage partnership and support.
- Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a sense of community and promote parent and community engagement.
- Maintain a high-quality standard of care for every child by adhering to all minimum licensing, quality-rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring a healthy and nutritious environment.
- Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs.
- Assist with keeping daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies.
- Partner with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement.
Essential Qualifications
- Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families.
- A positive attitude and self-image with a commitment to innovation and creativity.
- Strong communication skills with coworkers, parents, and children.
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Must pass the state-required criminal background check.

- Previous experience in early childhood education.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
