About the Role

We're seeking dedicated and compassionate professionals to work as Children's ABA/Autism Therapists, providing one-on-one therapy sessions to children in the comfort of their own homes. As a valued member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to delivering high-quality services. Our comprehensive training program, including RBT certification assistance, will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans as directed by the BCBA supervisor
  • Collaborate with the BCBA supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Maintain a professional and goal-oriented approach in all aspects of your work
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to reliability and punctuality

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting
  • 1 year of ABA experience (or equivalent experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
  • Auto insurance to travel between clients

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications can enhance your application:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and practices
  • RBT certification (or willingness to obtain certification through our training program)

Skills and Competencies

To excel as a Children's ABA/Autism Therapist, you'll need:

  • A compassionate and patient approach when working with children and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills
