Job Overview

The Korean Language Instructor will be responsible for providing lesson plans, presentations, and curricula in support of educational goals and maintaining materials within the assigned educational system. You will work closely with our team to review emerging policy and doctrine publications, provide feedback, and assess incorporation into training products. Your expertise will be essential in developing and maintaining training records and tracking systems as required or designated by the Government.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver training material to drive intelligence goals, objectives, tradecraft, and standards
  • Provide lesson plans, presentations, and curricula in support of educational goals and maintain materials within the assigned educational system
  • Review emerging policy and doctrine publications, provide feedback, and assess incorporation into training products
  • Develop and maintain training records and tracking systems as required or designated by the Government
  • Provide direct language instruction to assigned and attached personnel
  • Train using job-related and general language materials designed to remediate, sustain, and enhance both mission-language skills and global language skills
  • Develop language training curricula to meet training objectives
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the Korean language, with a native fluency in Korean. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and you should have a comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirm completion of all developmental training and experiences. You must also have a minimum tested score of 3/3/3 proficiency on a DLPT or 3/3 equivalent on an equivalent testing standard.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of culture and military aspects of the Korean language
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal oversight and direction
  • Ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and/or technically advanced
  • Ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence. You should be able to work independently with minimal oversight and direction, while also collaborating and working with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
