Job Overview: Substitute Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality teaching and instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless continuity of education
• Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and support student learning

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful as a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will need:

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
• A New Jersey Substitute Credential
• A background check and TB risk assessment (we will cover the cost of this)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination
• A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first
• An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be
