Job Overview
The Substitute Teacher Training Program is designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective substitute teachers. The program will run virtually from October 9th to October 12th, 2023, and will consist of a combination of live virtual instruction and asynchronous online work. As a program facilitator, you will be responsible for leading the training sessions, providing guidance and support to participants, and ensuring that all aspects of the program are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead live virtual training sessions, including a 30-minute introduction and 4.5 hours of live virtual instruction
- Develop and deliver high-quality training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources
- Provide guidance and support to participants, including answering questions and offering feedback
- Facilitate asynchronous online work, including monitoring progress and providing feedback
- Collaborate with participating districts, including Delaware County Intermediate Unit, Chester-Upland School District, and others
- Ensure that all aspects of the program are delivered to the highest standards, including content, quality, and participant experience
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including:
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Teaching experience, preferably in a substitute teaching role
