Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of educational, administrative, and technical skills, including:
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, with a registry in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) and a valid registered diagnostic medical sonography credential in abdominal and/or OB-GYN.
- A minimum of four years of experience as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, with at least two years of experience in clinical diagnostic care and two years of teaching experience in an accredited sonography program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of program development, evaluation, and budgeting, with experience in planning, implementation, and monitoring of program budgets in an educational environment.
- Excellent supervisory, administrative, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide customer-focused service.
- Proficiency in the use of technology, including email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software, as well as the ability to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, college employees, members of the profession, and the public.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience

- A master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
