Job Overview
As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk, you will play a vital role in our e-Commerce team, responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders, processing payments, and delivering orders to customers' cars. Key Responsibilities
- Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner, ensuring attention to freshness and quality.
- Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at the store for pick-up.
- Provide a positive customer service experience, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures, including inspecting equipment and notifying store management of items in need of repair.
- Learn and adapt to new and improved processes, assisting in training new e-Commerce team members and meeting/exceeding productivity standards.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ability to work without supervision, using your initiative to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively.
- Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to read shelf tags and follow directions given in the note section.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:
- Previous experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier.
- Knowledge of grocery products, including fresh produce, meat, dairy, and dry goods.
