Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced electrical engineer to fill the position of Input Device System Design Engineer. Key Responsibilities

• Execution of design in high volume, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive results and assess project risk/maturity levels.
• Apply state-of-the-art sensing and haptic technologies to design next-generation human interface devices.
• Author detailed engineering requirements specifications and perform schematic capture and PCB layout design of the electrical system.
• Manage suppliers and manufacturing partners, including overseas build support, and interface with cross-functional leaders for project reviews and discussions.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration and development of input devices.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• EE degree in BS or above.
• Working knowledge of board/system level electrical designs with micro-controller and hands-on experience in prototype design, bring-up, debugging, characterization, and functional verification.
• Working knowledge of system-level design and familiar with common interfaces: I2C, SPI, JTAG, USB.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:

• Successful track record of working closely with mechanical engineers and firmware teams.
• Experienced in DC-DC converter design and application (buck and boost).
• Experienced in sensor selection and integration at the system level (capacitive, optical, resistive, or any type of sensors).
• Experienced in designing high-volume, high-quality consumer electronic products.
• Experienced in data analysis and scripting languages.
