Job Overview
In this exciting 100% remote opportunity, you will be responsible for responding to inbound inquiries, making outbound sales calls, and closing moderate sales opportunities. You will work closely with our internal teams, including Operations and Services, Account Executives, Client Directors, and Alliance Managers, to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Your primary focus will be on prospecting for B2B opportunities, selling IT training and services, and building strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate new sales opportunities through warm and outbound calls to potential customers
- Build and maintain customer relationships to understand their needs and propose appropriate solutions
- Manage the sales process, including follow-up on cold and warm leads, demonstrating Fast Lane training and consulting products and services, and engaging prospects and clients
- Drive engagements and meetings to support top-line revenue growth
- Partner with internal team members, vendor field sellers, and other technology product/service sellers to co-sell and acquire new customers
- Leverage sales tools such as LinkedIn, Apollo, and other platforms to organize and scale your sales efforts
- Engage prospects and customers at all levels, including those interested in Fast Lane consulting, services, and training
- Work with prospects and customers who possess training credits from vendors or other sources to identify needs and apply credits
Performance Objectives
To be successful in this role, you will be expected to meet the following performance objectives:
- Make outbound calls to prospects and clients to identify new sales opportunities
- Secure prospect and client meetings to demonstrate Fast Lane training and consulting products and services
- Close non-complex opportunities that result from inbound customer inquiries, prospecting related to vendor training credits, and existing customer contracts
Required Sales Skills
To excel as an Inside Sales Representative at Fast Lane, you will need to possess the following sales skills:
- Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients who may benefit from Fast Lane training and consulting services
- Hunter Mentality: A strong desire to hunt for new business, develop relationships, and sell simple training solutions
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey the value proposition of our offerings and build rapport with clients
- Proven Track Record: A demonstrated history of sales success, with a strong ability to close deals and meet sales targets
Industry Knowledge
While not required, familiarity with the training and consulting industry is highly desirable. You should have a strong awareness of key technologies and technology vendors at a high level, as well as a high-level understanding of the specific needs and challenges that clients may face, such as cloud migration, adoption of AI, reskilling, and upskilling.
Preferred Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience with prospecting tools such as LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Apollo IO
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, AWS, Google Cloud, etc. is a plus but not required
- Experience selling training solutions is a plus but not required
- Experience working in a professional role for a minimum of 5 years
- Experience in working in an inside sales role selling services for a minimum of three years
- Experience working in a sales role for a minimum of three to four years
Reporting Structure
As an Inside Sales Representative at Fast Lane, you will report to the Inside Sales Representative Team Lead. You will be an integral part of our sales team, working closely with internal stakeholders to drive business growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
