We are currently seeking a part-time, fixed-term teaching faculty member in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology to join our esteemed team.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced dental professional to fill a part-time, fixed-term teaching faculty position in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. As a Teaching Assistant Professor or Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Sciences, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our predoctoral dental students and residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing instruction in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, general pathology, and pathophysiology to predoctoral dental students and residents in didactic and seminar settings
- Developing and delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions
- Assessing student knowledge and understanding through various evaluation methods
- Contributing to the development of curriculum and educational materials
- Participating in departmental and school-wide meetings and events
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- DMD, DDS, or equivalent degree
- Completion of an advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
- Five years of experience in teaching Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology within a predoctoral dental and/or advanced dental education program accredited by CODA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
