About the Role

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced dental professional to fill a part-time, fixed-term teaching faculty position in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. As a Teaching Assistant Professor or Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Sciences, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our predoctoral dental students and residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing instruction in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, general pathology, and pathophysiology to predoctoral dental students and residents in didactic and seminar settings
• Developing and delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions
• Assessing student knowledge and understanding through various evaluation methods
• Contributing to the development of curriculum and educational materials
• Participating in departmental and school-wide meetings and events

Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• DMD, DDS, or equivalent degree
• Completion of an advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
• Five years of experience in teaching Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology within a predoctoral dental and/or advanced dental education program accredited by CODA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology
• Experience in teaching and curriculum development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
