About Host Guest
Host Guest is a U.S.-based startup founded in 2024 and officially registered in Georgia in 2025. We connect international students, out-of-state students, and cultural travelers with welcoming, verified host families across the United States. Our platform is designed to create belonging, safety, and personal connection.
We are preparing to launch our platform in Fall 2025. To get there, we are building our digital presence and storytelling capacity across TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Our team is fully remote, creative, and ambitious, focused on making Host Guest a trusted name for students and families worldwide.
The Role: Content Creator / Social Media Manager
We are seeking a creative and motivated Content Creator / Social Media Manager to join our growing team. This role is all about bringing the Host Guest story to life online. You will create and manage short-form video, graphics, and written content that communicates our mission and engages both students and host families.
This is a hands-on role with lots of creative freedom, and a chance to build the digital presence of a startup right before launch.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, edit, and publish short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn)
• Write captions, hooks, and scripts aligned with brand voice and campaign goals
• Plan and schedule content across multiple platforms
• Monitor comments, DMs, and engagement to grow our community presence
• Research and adapt social trends, audios, and viral formats for Host Guest
• Collaborate with graphic designers and marketing teammates to align visuals
• Track basic analytics (views, clicks, signups) and share insights with the team
Qualifications
• Must be based in the United States
• Minimum 2 years of experience creating engaging video and social media content (academic, freelance, or professional)
• Comfortable on camera or directing others to tell human-centered stories
• Skilled in tools such as CapCut, Canva, or other editing platforms
• Strong written English, understands how to make captions and stories engaging
• Organized, proactive, and reliable in a remote team environment
• Bonus: Background in cultural storytelling, student life, or brand campaigns
Tools We Use
• Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Calendar, Meet)
• Slack and Asana for communication and task management
• Canva and Figma for visuals
• CapCut/iMovie or preferred editing tool
Compensation & Role Details
• Remote, part-time position (15 hours per week)
• Hourly pay: $14-$16 depending on experience
• Start: 16 September 2025 (immediate)
• Strong opportunity for portfolio building and growth into an expanded role post-launch

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
