About the Role
As a Long-Term Substitute Grade 4 Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. You will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver high-quality instruction, manage classroom dynamics, and ensure a smooth continuation of the academic program. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Grade 4 instruction in accordance with the curriculum and teaching standards.
- Manage classroom behavior, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, adapting to the needs of students and the classroom.
- Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting to the regular classroom teacher.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators to achieve educational goals and objectives.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other educational activities as required.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and empathy, promoting the well-being and academic success of all students.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A Substitute license through the ESC or a current teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
- A strong foundation in elementary education, with a preference for PK-3 or PK-5 teaching license.
- Experience working within elementary settings, ideally within Worthington City Schools or similar educational environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to promoting student-centered learning, diversity, and inclusivity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a long-term substitute teacher or in a similar educational role.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new teaching environments and curriculum requirements.
- Strong knowledge of educational technology and its integration into the classroom.
- Experience with data-driven instruction and assessment strategies.
