About the Role: After-School Reading/English Interventionist
We're looking for an experienced and qualified Reading/English Teacher to deliver small-group intervention (Tier 2) in an after-school setting, Monday through Thursday, from 3 pm to 5 pm. As an After-School Reading/English Teacher with Catapult Learning, you'll have the opportunity to work with students in grades 6-12, helping them overcome challenges and achieve grade-level academic success. Our interventionists use a gradual release model of instruction, ensuring students transition smoothly to independent learning.
Key Responsibilities: Making a Difference in Students' Lives
- Instruct Reading/English to small groups of students in multiple grade levels, focusing on intervention and academic support.
- Deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing skills using company-designed materials and educational strategies.
- Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans using our provided curriculum.
- Ensure student safety and supervision at all times, including escorting students to and from classrooms/learning stations.
- Perform data entry tasks in a timely manner, including student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
- Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences to keep them informed of student progress.
- Maintain accurate student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Foster consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of our students and the team.
Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- A Georgia Teaching Certificate or equivalent; this is preferred but not mandatory.
- Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience, demonstrating your ability to support students' diverse needs.
- A willingness and ability to teach both Math and Reading/ELA to various grade levels, showcasing your versatility and adaptability.
- A working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- A passion for helping students overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
Preferred Qualifications: Adding Extra Value

- Experience working with at-risk youth or students who are struggling academically.
