Job Overview: Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach)
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction
  • Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved
  • Drive financial performance and sales growth by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing expenses, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 2 years of college or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to teach, train, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional service and resolving customer complaints and issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review and evaluate financial statements and develop action plans to drive sales growth and mitigate shrink
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on achieving results and driving business performance

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
