Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Early Intervention Behavior Technician to join our growing team. As an Early Intervention Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with younger children on the autism spectrum, providing one-on-one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for working with children and families, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting
  • If no direct ABA experience, 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must have your own transportation and auto insurance in order to travel between clients

Physical Requirements

The following physical requirements must be met to perform the duties of this role:

  • Employee must be able to lift up to 35lbs
  • Required to perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
  • Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
  • Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
