Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to fill a faculty position in our Department of Hematology. The successful candidate will participate in patient care and clinical/translational research, focusing on non-malignant pediatric blood disorders, including but not limited to sickle cell disease, coagulation, bone marrow failure, and general pediatric non-malignant blood disorders. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and participate in the management of patients with non-malignant pediatric blood disorders
- Develop and maintain a clinical and translational research program, with a focus on non-malignant hematology
- Collaborate with investigators from diverse biomedical fields to advance research initiatives
- Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Engage in scholarly activities, including publication of research findings and presentation at national and international conferences
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this faculty position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications:
- MD (or equivalent) degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology
- Clinical and research experience in non-malignant hematology, with a focus on areas such as sickle cell disease, coagulation, bone marrow failure, and general pediatric non-malignant blood disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and advancing research initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience in clinical trial design and implementation
- Background in translational research, with a focus on bench-to-bedside applications
