Key Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Designing and delivering high-quality literacy programs that align with state and national standards, including reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs

Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or regional accrediting agency)
- Bachelor's degree preferred in education, literacy, or a related field
- Experience working with students, particularly in an afterschool or literacy education setting
- Strong knowledge of literacy education principles, practices, and standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
