Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Online Adjunct Instructor - Pharmacology Calculations to join our dynamic team. As an Online Adjunct Instructor, you will play a crucial role in teaching and mentoring students in the field of pharmacology calculations. This is an exciting opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with students and contribute to their academic success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy or a related field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with students and supervising Deans or other University staff related to teaching and learning
- Provide feedback on student performance on a consistent basis throughout the course
- Be available for students via phone, email, and for individual appointments as needed for questions and academic assistance
- Respond to Dean/University staff in regards to performance, student issues/concerns, or items needed for faculty file/accreditation needs in a timely manner
- Demonstrate mastery and ability to articulate and relate to students in the field of pharmacology calculations
- Play an integral role in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment for their area of expertise
- Attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as agreed upon and/or designated by the Dean
Essential Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technician
- CPhT, RPh, or PharmD certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of study
- 3+ years of related work experience in retail, hospital, or outpatient pharmacy post-licensure or credentialing
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers
- Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills in the English language
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience preferred
- Experience with online learning platforms and technology
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
