About the Role
As a Preschool Teacher with our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping the young minds of our students and inspiring future generations. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that upholds and enforces school rules and is conducive to learning. Your primary objective will be to plan a program of study that meets the individual needs and abilities of your students, guiding the learning process to increase student achievement in accordance with the curriculum and consistent with state and local standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a comprehensive program of study that is tailored to the maturity and interest of students, meeting their individual needs and abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that upholds and enforces school rules and is conducive to learning
- Guide the learning process to increase student achievement in accordance with the curriculum and consistent with state and local standards
- Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives
- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required in a timely and confidential manner
- Collaborate with colleagues, students, and/or parents on an ongoing basis concerning student academic and behavioral progress
- Adhere to the Board of Education policies, state rules and regulations, and to licensure standards
- Strive to maintain and improve professional competence and serve on staff committees as required
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in any area and be enrolled in (or willing to be enrolled in) an Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. Alternatively, you may be enrolled in a Teacher Education Program (TEP) or Alternative Licensure program. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of their students.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, we prefer candidates who have experience working with preschool-age children, a strong understanding of child development principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
