Historian 9-P11 (Collections Specialist)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Assist with the processing and rehousing of artifacts.
• Organize, renumber, and catalog artifacts in the museum's collections management database.
• Photograph and track the location of artifacts.
• Move artifacts to new mobile shelving storage.
• Support the collections manager/registrar in daily operations.
Requirements
• Possession of a master's degree in history, art history, museum studies, anthropology, or related fields.
• One year of professional experience in history preservation and analysis for Historian 10 level.
• Two years of professional experience for Historian P11 level, including one year equivalent to Historian 10.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in public health or community engagement.
• Familiarity with museum collections management software.
• Strong presentation skills.
