[Remote] Remote Biology Expert (PhD) - 34880
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies, and they are seeking PhD-level researchers in Biology to test the reasoning capabilities of large language models. The role involves creating Biology problems, analyzing model responses, and identifying gaps in logic or understanding to measure the models' handling of abstract thinking and structured problem-solving.
Responsibilities
• You’ll create Biology problems, review how the AI solves them, and share insights on how well it understands complex reasoning and logical steps.
• Evaluate the logic behind a researcher’s claims about immune signaling. For instance, IL-2 promotes T cell proliferation, IFN-γ activates macrophages, and IL-10 is described as pro-inflammatory. Determine which interpretations reflect accurate biological functions.
• Review a student’s proposed strategy to study plant stress genes, including CRISPR knockouts, qPCR for expression analysis, and phenotypic observation under drought. Assess the reasoning behind each method and suggest refinements.
Skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Able to provide clear, constructive feedback with examples
• Strong written communication, especially in remote settings
• Comfortable working independently
• Stable computer and internet access
Education Requirements
• Currently enrolled in or have completed a Ph.D. or Postdoctoral in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Benefits
• Remote work flexibility
• Possibility of contract extension based on performance
• Collaborate with experts worldwide to test and refine AI models
