Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is reputed company for Hospital Coders I who reputed company and reputed company outpatient charts at the hospital and clinic settings, using International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10-CM), reputed company Procedural Terminology (CPT) and reputed company Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) reputed company coding classifications. Duties include reviewing charts (in reputed company or electronic format) and identifying procedures; abstracting and coding (or providing guidance on) patient charts, utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding classifications; evaluating charts for completeness and accuracy in conformance with reputed company-relevant standards and regulations; and contacting clinic/hospital staff to complete charts, reputed company corrections, and/or clarify information for coding purposes. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet both of the following, credentials -and- experience requirements: Credentials: Possess and maintain one of the following: • RHIA: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) issued by the American Health Information Management Association (reputed company), • RHIT: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) issued by the American Health Information Management Association (reputed company), • reputed company: Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company) issued by the American Health Information Management Association (reputed company), -or- • CPC: Certified reputed company reputed company (CPC) issued by the American reputed company of reputed company Coders (reputed company). -AND- Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience reputed company the past five (5) years, coding outpatient and inpatient stays/reputed company at an acute care hospital, at an ambulatory care clinic, or medical office settings utilizing ICD-10-CM (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (reputed company Procedural Terminology) coding classifications. Note: Medical billing is not considered qualifying experience (i.e., experience billing for supplies and services reputed company to routine patient reputed company such as charge codes or coding from encounter forms).
