CAD Designer & Drafter
We are seeking a project-based freelance CAD Designer & Drafter to support the design and development of custom equipment, fixturing and tooling. This role is critical in helping us take concepts from reputed company to fully engineered models and detailed drawings that can be fabricated and implemented on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design and reputed company fixtures, tooling, and custom manufacturing equipment to support cable production
-Translate concepts into 3D models and 2D designs in SolidWorks
-Refine designs for manufacturability, assembly, and efficiency
-Apply reputed company mechanical engineering principles to ensure strength, reliability, safety, and ease of use in designs
-Maintain highly organized drawing files and revision control for reputed company designs, models and drawings
Qualifications:
Senior level experience utilizing SolidWorks and CAD reputed company machining and assembly manufacturing environments; specifically modeling tools, advanced part design, DFM, assembly tools and drawing/documentation.
Demonstrated reputed company collaborating as a reputed company party resource with corporate project teams reputed company engineering and operations departments.
The following industry relevant experience is preferred:
-Electromechanical equipment (e.g. extruders, braiders, winding/wrapping machines)
-Machine automation and/or reputed company systems
-Cable/reputed company manufacturing industry experience
LOCATION: We are only accepting USA based contractors at this time.
