Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relationship Manager to join our TPO Operations team. As a Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of contact between our clients and internal departments, responsible for managing loans through the pipeline and providing exceptional customer support. This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee loans throughout each stage of the process, working with clients to obtain necessary conditions to move the loan through the process
  • Serve as the point of contact for any issues or escalations from clients and/or Account Executives
  • Partner with Account Executives on pipeline management and client relationship development
  • Provide loan status updates to clients throughout the loan process
  • Manage lock expirations and estimated closing dates
  • Lead onboard training for new clients, including training on our portal and/or how to do business with NQM Funding, LLC
  • Demonstrate knowledge of our TPO or NDC Portal to help clients with issues and add documents needed for underwriting
  • Be available to clients and Account Executives to answer underwriting questions on non-QM programs, including working with underwriting and/or management on possible condition and documentation alternatives
  • Communicate needed items to complete a requested review to requestors and Account Executives
  • Maintain company service level and turn-time standards
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to underwriting guidelines
  • Coordinate with management, sales, and underwriting to improve efficiencies and customer service within the department and across other departments within the TPO or NDC division
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3-5 years of mortgage lending experience, preferably at a senior processor or junior underwriter level
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and PC skills, including demonstrated rapport-building abilities
  • Ability to work independently with frequent interruptions and communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a combination of experience and education will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Knowledge of Non-QM lending programs and guidelines
  • Familiarity with mortgage industry software and technology
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a mortgage lending or financial services environment
