As a Remote Customer Service Representative on our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you'll play a critical role in driving our business forward and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position is a key part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team, responsible for handling a range of critical functions related to payment processing, member services, and financial transactions. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data entry and balancing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
  • Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions, resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related accounting standard ledger balancing, providing excellent customer service and support
  • Work member cases/sports assigned, following established guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other items, such as IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Review, research, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Log, research, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, following established procedures and guidelines
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
  • Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests, providing excellent customer service and support
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, resolving issues promptly and professionally

What You'll Need for Success

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer/member service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of financial transactions and payment processing
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications
  • Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs, with flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide timely and effective support to members
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and functioning as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and members, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, with strong self-motivation and discipline
