Job Overview

The Customer Service Representative role at blithequark is a critical position that interacts directly with patients, influencing generic utilization, therapy changes, answering questions, solving problems, providing education, and upholding our reputation for high-quality service. This position involves working closely with our Specialty Projects Team to conduct generic conversions or therapy changes on targeted medications, ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate and cost-effective treatments. Additionally, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for numerous adherence outreach efforts to ensure patients stay on their medications and remain adherent to their therapies, which is crucial for their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with patients to influence generic utilization and therapy changes, providing education and support to enhance patient understanding and adherence to their medication regimens.
  • Conduct outreach efforts to ensure patients are staying on their medications, addressing any barriers to adherence, and providing solutions to overcome these challenges.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with patients, clients, and other customers, proactively gathering patient and order information to resolve inquiries and issues efficiently.
  • Work closely with the Specialty Projects Team on targeted initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs through the use of generics and other appropriate therapies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of insurance, healthcare, and reimbursement-related requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Provide customer education on medications, therapies, and health conditions, empowering patients to take an active role in their health care.
  • Perform routine assessments and problem identification, escalating issues to a pharmacist when necessary to ensure timely and appropriate intervention.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Essential Qualifications:
    • 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting, with a proven track record of handling and resolving customer needs over the phone.
    • 6+ months of high-volume customer service experience working with Windows, Microsoft, or similar applications, demonstrating proficiency in technology and data management.
    • Residency in the state of Nevada, with the ability to work from home if standards are met, including maintaining approved internet speed requirements and a secure, distraction-free workspace.
    • Verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required, with preference for higher education in a related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in pharmacy operations, patient care, or a related field, with knowledge of medications, therapies, and healthcare practices.
    • Strong understanding of insurance, healthcare, and reimbursement processes, with the ability to navigate complex systems and policies.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $28.45 per hour, with the actual base salary offer depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a blithequark bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program, in addition to the base pay range listed above.
