Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential and family-focused care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions, health counseling, and attitude anticipating our patients.
- Perform administrative obligations, including opening/closing the center, inventory management, patient flow, checking insurance, and collecting payment.
- Take care of patient arrangements and perform guiding assessments to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
- Communicate with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, complete diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care.
- Encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare and well-being through services like health screenings, social well-being, and health, chronic condition management.
Essential Qualifications
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues, health counseling, and attitude planning for our patients.
- Request and administer vaccinations and injections (including COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent antibody guidance and education.
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent.
- Complete the MinuteClinic certification test within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages (including Spanish) depending on the market.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including mouth-to-mouth and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Pass a FIT assessment and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires.
Preferred Qualifications
- If under 1 year of work experience as an authorized provider, prior student precepting rotation with MinuteClinic is preferred but not required.
Education and Training
To be considered for this role, you'll need to have:
- A graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
- Or, in select states, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related Graduate degree or equivalent experience along with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the role.
