Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a successful candidate, you must live within 50 miles of Linthicum, MD. In this role, you will provide telephone assistance to Medicaid members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Your goal will be to deliver an excellent experience to our callers every time, leveraging your strong customer skills to ensure success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming member and provider calls and responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
  • Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity with secure service via an ethernet cable; note that the use of Wi-Fi is not permitted.
  • Participating in comprehensive training provided by blithequark, which includes equipment and ongoing support to ensure your success.
  • Adhering to the training schedule for the first six weeks, which is 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday, and subsequently following the production schedule of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to commute to the office in Charleston, WV, when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with members and providers.
  • Capability to meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
  • Self-sufficiency and the ability to work from home, with a dedicated workspace that meets blithequark's requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working remotely in a call center setting, demonstrating your ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare, which would be a significant asset in providing informed support to our members and providers.

Education

A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required for this position.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $31.30 per hour. This range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions within this job grade. The actual base salary offer will depend on various factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations.
