About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our patient support team, you will play a vital role in influencing generic utilization, therapy changes, and providing education to patients. Your primary focus will be on communicating the benefits of generics or other appropriate therapies to patients, with the goal of providing overall savings and improving health outcomes. You will work closely with our Specialty Projects Team to conduct generic conversions or therapy changes on targeted medications, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with patients to influence generic utilization and therapy changes
  • Provide education and support to patients on their medications and therapies
  • Conduct adherence outreach efforts to ensure patients are staying on their medications and remaining adherent and compliant
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls to patients, clients, and other customers in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Proactively gain patient and order information to resolve issues efficiently
  • Work closely with the Specialty Projects Team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Maintain a working knowledge of insurance, health care, and reimbursement-related requirements for dispensing and processing new referrals
  • Provide customer education and routine assessment and problem identification, escalating issues to a pharmacist as needed

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone
  • 6+ months of high-volume customer service experience working in Windows, Microsoft, or another similar application
  • Must reside in the state of Nevada
  • Verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a health care or pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement-related requirements
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or similar technology
