Job Summary: Data Entry Specialist (Remote)

We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our data by accurately entering and updating critical information into our databases. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who are organized, reliable, and capable of maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry and Management: Accurately enter and update data in company databases and systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Data Verification: Verify and review data for errors and inconsistencies, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information, adhering to data protection policies and procedures.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Follow data program techniques and procedures to achieve high levels of data quality, and perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Information Requests: Respond to information requests from authorized members, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Activity Logs: Maintain logs of activities and completed work, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional qualifications in data management or related fields are a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related role.
  • Experience in handling large volumes of data with accuracy and efficiency, and familiarity with administrative duties.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Technical Skills: Excellent typing speed and accuracy, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and data entry software.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
