Our Milan-based Italian advertising sales and operations team is seeking a highly skilled Digital Operations Client Service Manager to lead our client service team and drive business growth.

About the Role

The Digital Operations Client Service Manager is a key member of our advertising sales and operations team, responsible for leading a team of client service professionals and providing strategic support to our sales representatives and clients. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape, with expertise in video, programmatic, and CTV advertising. They will be able to balance 'in-the-weeds' tasks with high-level strategic planning and have a proven track record of campaign planning and execution for a wide range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Digital Operations Client Service Managers in supporting assigned sales representatives and related clients through all phases of the campaign lifecycle, from planning to invoicing
  • Responsible for delivering effective media plans that maximize revenue
  • Allocate team responsibilities while contributing to and aiding in the effort of the management
  • Able to perform all tasks connected with campaign management, specifically stock forecasting, media plan creation, order entry, negotiation, optimization, reporting, and invoicing
  • Ensure the Account Manager is fully trained on campaign execution and able to address all related questions
  • Act as the point of contact for any escalations on complex challenges or requests regarding inventory, ad products, or campaigns
  • Assist Sales, Finance, and Accounting in revenue tracking
  • Investigate and resolve ad delivery, ad quality, and technical issues, liaising with global Ad Platforms support
  • Test potential ad tech vendor integrations and provide feedback on contract negotiations
  • Ideate, execute, review, and advance functional processes that drive quality and efficiency
  • Analyze utilization and performance of digital inventory to develop strategies and products that maximize revenue yield
  • Manage, mentor, and develop talent, including training future recruits
  • Create and update internal documentation to explain processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with regional teams and act as a local center of excellence for different offices across EMEA
  • Maintain a strong understanding of blithequark's ad tech stack and system, and follow industry developments

What We Expect From You:

Experience:

  • Graduate level or comparable experience
  • 3+ years of overall experience in the advertising industry, either publisher/agency side or in ad tech
  • Team management experience
  • Expertise in defining and optimizing processes
  • Highly proficient in planning, negotiating, and managing ad campaigns for display and video across websites, applications, social platforms, and connected television environments
  • Demonstrated ability in activating campaigns, creating accurate and relevant insights, and optimizing performance
  • Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, technologies that power it, and key players in the space
  • Familiarity with general data security and privacy requirements connected with digital advertising
  • Able to represent the company in external meetings and events
  • Media or entertainment brand experience is beneficial, as is knowledge of the processes and procedures of a global partnership
  • Essential ability to use and promote the management's systems (e.g., Google Ad Manager), ad server systems (e.g., DV360), and management of Creative Labels and Tracking to support and lead the assigned team
  • Knowledge of Impression activation for digital campaigns and related requirements

  • In-depth understanding of digital media and the marketing industry, especially video and within EMEA
  • IT savvy across core business applications and remote working tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Zoom)
