What You'll Do
As an Asset Protection Operations Coach, you'll be responsible for driving sales, leading teams, and protecting assets. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Driving sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and proper inventory levels
- Leading and developing teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates
- Modeling and demonstrating exceptional customer service standards to store associates
- Providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates
- Controlling the unexplained loss of merchandise and improving profitability
- Detecting, deterring, investigating, and resolving violations of company policies and criminal activities
- Managing facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, and claims and receiving procedures
- Coordinating, completing, and overseeing job-related activities and assignments
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Key Responsibilities
Merchandise Presentation and Sales
- Drive sales by ensuring accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and inventory levels
- Oversee the stocking and rotation of merchandise
- Set up, clean, and organize product displays
- Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates
- Tour stores and provide feedback (Tour-to-Teach)
- Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations
- Introduce and lead company change efforts
- Provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions
Customer Service and Experience
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates
- Manage and support customer service initiatives
- Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved
- Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies
Asset Protection and Loss Prevention
- Control the unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability
- Identify and communicate performance goals and objectives
- Build accountability for policies and procedures
- Measure adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures
- Review variances to inventory reports
- Conduct operational and pre-inventory reviews
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Completion of 2 years of college
- Option 2: 1 year's experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment
- Option 3: 1 year's experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment
- Option 4: 2 years' experience in asset protection or related area
- Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection
- If applicable, acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility
- If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
- Certification in an asset protection-related field (for example, Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified)
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports
- Investigative experience
