Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Monument Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to our patients. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans for our patients. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit
  • Provide skilled clinical care and apply nursing science to prevent or address illness, disability, or injury
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, family members, and support systems to deliver high-quality care
  • Utilize independent judgment to apply the nursing process for assessing, diagnosing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct patient care
  • Adhere to ANA Standards of Professional Nursing Practice, institutional policies, and relevant laws and regulations
  • Coordinate care delivery and ensure patient progression along the care plan
  • Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
  • Provide health teaching and health promotion to patients and families
  • Consult with interdisciplinary teams to influence the identified plan, enhance the abilities of others, and effect change
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Registered Nurse experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a range of compensation and benefits to support our team members, including:

  • Competitive salary range: $32.60 - $40.75 per hour

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects
  • Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances
  • Ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours
