Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in resolving missed visits or missed supplies by reaching out to providers for status updates and authorization as needed.
- Handle all Long-Term Care (LTC) calls from members and providers, focusing on one-call resolution and timely responses.
- Review and correct authorizations as necessary to match the Patient Care Coordination Plan (PCCP).
- Triage and route calls correctly, attempting to resolve issues before escalating to a Customer Care representative or supervisor.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to caller inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of healthcare operations to effectively address caller concerns.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including care coordination and medical management, to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in a call center or customer service environment, preferably in healthcare or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in managed care or a physician's office setting.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare operations.
- Strong typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Windows.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with LTC and medical authorization processes is highly desirable.
