- Providing administrative support to department leadership with daily clerical tasks, such as preparing reports, charts, budgets, and other presentation materials
- Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing complex and confidential data to prepare reports and other materials
- Responding to or routing non-routine, priority, or confidential inquiries from external or internal sources on behalf of department leadership
- Planning meetings, taking detailed minutes, and answering phone calls, providing information to callers or connecting them to the appropriate staff
- Scheduling appointments, updating calendars, and making travel arrangements and reservations for department leadership and staff as needed
- Composing and typing correspondence, such as informative materials, creating spreadsheets, and presentations
- Greeting and providing general support to visitors, developing and maintaining department filing systems, and adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for experience in an academic or healthcare environment
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an administrative role
- General knowledge of office procedures and operations
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports, and correspondence
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office
