Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the primary point of contact for our members and providers, handling inbound customer service inquiries and problems via telephone and email. You will use our computerized system to track calls, gather information, and troubleshoot issues, while providing a high level of customer service, courtesy, and professionalism. Your goal will be to identify, evaluate, and prioritize caller needs, questions, and concerns, and formulate plans of resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize caller needs, questions, and concerns, and respond efficiently and effectively.
  • Problem Analysis and Resolution: Perform problem analysis, problem determination, and recommended resolutions to callers, while maintaining and restoring customer satisfaction.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Develop rapport with callers, adjust communication style as needed, and provide accurate information about blithequark programs and services.
  • Computer Skills and Data Entry: Use computer tools to accurately process and document information, and maintain accurate records of calls and customer interactions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Partner with other teams as needed to resolve customer issues and escalate internal issues.
  • Performance Metrics and Quality Standards: Meet or exceed established call center metrics, attendance standards, and quality levels.
  • Proactive Education and Promotion: Proactively educate callers on program benefits and suggest/promote alternative products or services.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a customer service-related field preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer Skills: General working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, and computer keyboard proficiency and internet navigation skills required.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment and thrive in a fast-growing, always-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other customer service tools.
  • Time Management and Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
