**Program Description**
Our Data Entry Residency Program is designed to provide college students with hands-on experience in data entry, while also developing their skills in clinical, educational, functional, and managerial aspects of community pharmacy practice. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with our team to:
* **Clinical**: Participate in clinical rotations, including community, specialty, mobile, and medication safety, to gain a deeper understanding of community pharmacy practice.
* **Educational**: Engage in teaching opportunities, including small group and larger educational talks, and assist as a preceptor for our community pharmacy practice research facility.
* **Functional/Managerial**: Develop your regulatory role as a pharmacist, working with our pharmacy director and Walgreens' drug store managers to understand the intricacies of pharmacy operations.
* **Board/Leadership**: Participate in state and national pharmacy associations, attend Massachusetts Pharmacy Executive meetings, and engage in regulatory activities to advance the practice of pharmacy.
**Objectives**
* Connect with residents in the clinical, educational, functional, and regulatory aspects of community pharmacy practice.
* Prepare residents to assume clinical, educational, functional, and authoritative responsibilities within the community setting.
* Provide a framework for residents to contribute to the development of pharmacy services within the community setting.
* Foster residents' precepting and teaching abilities.
* Support quality improvement programs where applicable.
* Effectively develop and implement a longitudinal residency project, as well as present a manuscript for publication in a reputable pharmacy journal.
**Essential Capabilities**
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare administration).
* Ability to obtain a pharmacist license within 90 days of the program's start date.
* Submission of residency application materials to the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).
* Participation in and adherence to the ASHP Resident Matching Program.
* Immunization or ability to become immunized within 90 days of hire.
