Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients related to pharmacy benefits, responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Research and resolve problems related to pharmacy benefits, working closely with other operational departments to ensure that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Assist members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Utilize our computerized system to gather information and respond to questions, documenting issues and resolutions in a common database.
- Escalate issues as necessary to ensure that concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries, continuously improving the customer service process and reducing potential legal concerns.
- Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients, working to expedite corrective action and ensure that their needs are met.
- Adhere to quality and production standards, complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the success of our team.
Essential Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- 1 year of experience in a call center environment, preferably in a customer service role.
- 1 year of experience in customer service, with a focus on resolving complex issues and providing exceptional support.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues related to pharmacy benefits.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional support and guidance to members, providers, and clients.
