About the Role

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will be responsible for entering information into our database, maintaining accurate records, and generating reports as needed. Your duties will include a range of tasks that require attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter information daily into our database, including external and internal movement of inmates, job and housing assignments, Classification Team Assignments, inmate re-classification Score Sheets, and Disciplinary Reports.
  • Run computer print-outs of inmate job and housing assignments for distribution to work and housing supervisors for gain time evaluations.
  • Compile gain time for evaluation sheets and gain time ward sheets, and enter gain time into the database, noting TRD Changes or gain time forms.
  • Post information from the database to inmates' jackets and rolodex cards, referencing job and housing assignments, custody reclassification, and detainer.
  • Maintain, prepare, and run all computer print-outs (inmate alpha list, team list, and transfer list) for distribution on a weekly basis.
  • Assist Records Supervisors with locating inmates in the offender tracking database as required.
  • Prepare and run print-outs for Classification/Records Supervisors as needed, referencing TRD list, DOB list, Education Reports, Sex Offenders lists, etc.
  • Verify entries for accuracy and maintain the integrity of our database.
  • Act as a backup to the Correctional Sentence Specialist.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and basic mathematics.
  • Skill in typing or using keyboard-controlled data input devices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy.
  • Ability to sort data alphabetically, numerically, and categorically.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
  • Ability to read and record information accurately.
  • Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, meeting minimum production requirements for speed and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in data entry or a related field.
