Job Overview

Under the general supervision of our experienced healthcare professionals, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and administrative support in our clinic setting. As a Medical Assistant II, you will be responsible for performing routine patient care procedures, technical tasks, and clerical duties that ensure the smooth operation of our clinics. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care procedures, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and documenting medical information
  • Perform technical tasks such as administering intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intra-dermal injections, skin tests, and venipunctures
  • Provide exceptional patient care and customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other clinic staff to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient clinic operations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in patient care and administrative support

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Medical Assistant diploma or equivalent certification
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably working with the frail elderly or in a similar healthcare setting
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese, depending on location
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems
  • Certification in phlebotomy or other relevant areas
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with limited English proficiency
