About the Role: Data Entry Specialist

We're seeking a talented and motivated Data Entry Specialist to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the design, build, test, and maintenance of data pipelines at scale. You'll work closely with our team of experts to refresh data from various sources, process and analyze data, and ensure that our data environment is efficient and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, build, test, and maintenance of data pipelines at scale
  • Refresh data from various sources and process it for analysis
  • Work on batch processing of collected data and match its organization to the stored data
  • Ensure that the data is processed and analyzed correctly
  • Help maintain the environment and pipeline, investigating standard performance and data-related issues
  • Provide L3 support and implement parsers, validators, transformers, and correlators to reformat, update, and improve data
  • Give proposals for highly complex issues and provide guidance to those in less senior positions

Essential Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong technical foundation in computer science, programming, database systems, or distributed systems. You'll also need:

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline like Math or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of data engineering and machine learning frameworks, including design, development, and implementation of complex systems and data pipelines
  • Experience working with distributed and cloud environments, and a deep understanding of optimizing computational considerations with theoretical properties
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure tooling for large-scale data engineering endeavors and experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DW, and Azure Synapse Analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience building robust cloud-based data engineering and curation solutions
  • Active development skills with the ability to work at the code level and help troubleshoot hard-to-detect issues
  • A compelling history of designing and delivering large-scale technical solutions that convey distinct, ongoing value
  • Direct experience having built and delivered robust, complex production frameworks that implement modern data processing methodologies at scale
  • Experience working with various data types (json, xml, parquet, avro, unstructured) for both batch and streaming ingestions

Compensation and Benefits:

We're offering a competitive compensation package for this role, with a monthly pay range of $6,317.00 - $15,477.00. We're also providing a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
