YouTube Content Operator / Editor
Description:
I’m looking for a reliable YouTube content operator/editor to help me run my channel. This isn’t a complex role, but I need someone consistent who can take the workload off my plate so I can focus on filming and strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Edit long-form YouTube videos (basic cuts, clean audio, trim pauses/“ums”)
• Create shorts/clips (using tools like Opus or manual editing)
• Upload & schedule videos on YouTube Studio
• Create simple, effective thumbnails (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
• Organize and tag video files for easy access
• Occasionally repurpose content for Instagram/TikTok (bonus, not required)
Requirements:
• Comfortable with YouTube Studio, Opus (or similar clipping tools), and Canva/Photoshop
• Strong eye for clean, engaging editing (but doesn’t need to be overly fancy)
• Reliable, organized, consistent communication
• Ability to follow a clear workflow and deadlines
Nice to Have (not essential):
• Experience growing YouTube channels
• Knowledge of thumbnail design best practices
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
Budget / Rate:
• $10–15/hour (or a monthly retainer of $500–1,000 depending on workload)
• Looking to start with a part-time arrangement (~5–10 hrs/week), with potential to scale as channel grows
How to Apply:
• Share 2–3 examples of YouTube videos you’ve edited
• Share 1–2 thumbnail examples if you have them
• Confirm your hourly rate and availability
