About the Role

As an Autism/ABA Therapist with Key Autism Services, you'll play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs for children with ASD. Working under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy, collect data, and contribute to the development of our clients' skills and behaviors. We're committed to supporting your growth and development in the field, including providing RBT certification assistance for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children with ASD
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during therapy sessions
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans as directed by a BCBA
  • Collaborate with BCBA supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Maintain professionalism and a goal-oriented approach in all aspects of your work
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as an Autism/ABA Therapist with Key Autism Services, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)
  • 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting
  • 1 year of ABA/RBT experience, or 1-2 years of experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
  • Auto insurance to travel between clients

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your application:

  • RBT certification
  • Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
  • Previous experience working with individuals with ASD

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs, bend, kneel, squat, and respond quickly to the movements and behaviors of children
  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
