Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach online biology courses, including lecture and lab components, in a dynamic and engaging manner
  • Develop and implement effective online lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations
  • Provide individualized support to students, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance student learning and engagement
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings, contributing to the development of curriculum and policy
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement best practices in online teaching

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in biology or a biology-related discipline, or a Master's degree or higher in a medical or health-related discipline (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., D.D.S.)
  • Coursework: A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in a biological or life science area, including but not limited to:
    • Agricultural sciences (e.g., agronomy)
    • Anatomy
    • Biochemistry
    • Biology
    • Bioengineering
    • Bioinformatics
    • Biology/science education (maximum of 6 graduate semester hours)

    • Biotechnology
