Position Summary: Member Benefits Advisor
As a Member Benefits Advisor, you will be the face of blithequark, responsible for delivering top-notch customer service, resolving customer inquiries, and educating customers on the value of our insurance and non-insurance products. Your role is pivotal in positioning our client brand as a key component of our customer satisfaction and retention strategy. You'll work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, and your contributions will directly impact our customers' experiences and our company's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming non-complex customer service calls from policyholders, group members, and other customers in a courteous, professional, and prompt manner, adhering to our quality program metrics to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Update and maintain customer billing and eligibility information in all required and appropriate areas of our administrative system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Process and fulfill customer requests in accordance with approved policies and procedures, striving for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with policies, procedures, and product changes, including active offers to members, to provide informed support and guidance to customers.
- Share successes, customer feedback, and new ideas with team members to promote continuous improvement and an excellent customer experience across the board.
- Perform other miscellaneous functions and special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving needs.
- Engage in soft sales opportunities, identifying potential customer needs and presenting relevant solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, laying the foundation for your professional journey.
- At least two years of customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume customer call center environment, where you've honed your skills in handling diverse customer inquiries and concerns.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, enabling you to communicate effectively with customers and team members alike.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team, adapting to different situations and priorities.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in your work and maintaining high-quality standards.
- The capacity to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, staying composed under stress and managing or diffusing concerned customers.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office, providing a solid foundation for your administrative tasks.
For those with Claims experience, you may be eligible for a Level II position upon successful completion of our training program, offering a pathway for career advancement.
