Key Responsibilities

  • Review and research incoming healthcare claim calls from providers, navigating multiple computer systems and platforms to verify data and information necessary for processing.
  • Ask pertinent questions, listen actively to identify specific issues, and document required information in our computer systems.
  • Communicate and collaborate with providers to resolve issues, using clear and simple language to ensure understanding.
  • Meet performance goals established for the position in areas such as efficiency, accuracy, quality, and attendance.

Comprehensive Training and Support

To ensure your success in this role, we'll provide 5 weeks of on-the-job training, during which you'll learn the intricacies of our systems, processes, and policies. Our training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel as a Senior Customer Service Representative.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Working knowledge of computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications.
  • Ability to work from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST, with flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in a related environment (office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as primary job tools.
  • Healthcare experience, which will be considered a significant advantage.

Telecommuting Requirements

  • Reside within the CST or MST time zone.
  • Ability to maintain the security and confidentiality of company-sensitive documents.
  • Dedicated work area that is separate from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • High-speed internet connection (either existing or the ability to receive a blithequark-approved connection).

  • Ability to de-escalate calls, listen to customer needs, and respond with compassion and empathy.
  • Multi-tasking capabilities, including managing calls while navigating multiple computer systems.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to remain focused and productive on detailed, repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently research issues using multiple information sources.
