Data Analyst, Geographic Information System (GIS), Mapping and Analytics (Hybrid)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Support the execution of data analytics related to the ESRI GIS system.
• Perform complex data analysis using ArcGIS and related extensions/add-ons, relational databases, and other software.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare documents, data reports, GIS dashboards, and maps.
• Evaluate spatial and non-spatial data to assess reporting against end user requirements.
• Review, analyze, and consolidate data from multiple sources using FME, SQL, Python, and REST.
• Communicate complex technical issues to non-technical GIS users both verbally and in writing.
• Support data maintenance and data quality efforts.
• Assist in tracking and reporting requirements associated with GIS data and electric distribution/transmission.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize assignments effectively.
• Support Emergency Restoration efforts throughout the Eversource service territory.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field (MS preferred).
• Three to five years of experience with ESRI and in spatial and relational data analysis.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with ArcGIS Desktop, Model Builder, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Insights, Portal, StoryMaps, and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of FME, SQL, Python, and REST.
• Demonstrated competency in oral and written communications.
Nice-to-haves
• Certification as a GIS Professional (GISP) preferred.
